as taught by fitness expert, Nigel Sampson.
The Classical Pilates Certification is an 8 month immersion in the art and technique of classical Pilates.
This course if those individuals who not only desire to learn the exciting art of Pilates, but also would like a transformative experience within themselves and ultimately use these abilities, knowledge and experience to transform their clients.
Program Overview
You will learn the 5 classical levels of Pilates thoroughly and skillfully. This includes Reformer, Cadillac, Pedi-pole, Spine Corrector, Wunda Chair, Magic Circle, Large Barrel and Arm Weights.
For each level you will have
30 hours of hands on workshops consisting of technique learning, posture correction, hands on cuing. We believe this is the most hours of any program ofered in Southern California.
Western anatomy covering muscles, bones, joints and posture alignment
Workout development, sequencing, creative skills, language skills
Student Apprenticeship
Students are required to complete an exciting apprenticeship in Pilates consisting of
150 hours self practice
150 hours teaching clients
30 hours teaching classes
50 hours observation
50 hours taking classes
Learn as you Earn program
One of the many benefits of WBG Pilates Certification course is that students get paid to teach clients during the course of study. The student will receive a total of $1500 during the course.
Testing
For each level there is a practical and written test. All test fees are included in the cost of the course, except the final exam
Pre-requisites
We recommend that you take at least 25 hours of Pilates training before the program. It is mandatory to take at least 3 private sessions with one of our staff instructors before the start of the program.

Students receive a total of $1500 in pay for teaching clients during the program. If a student wishes to forfeit this pay, this amount can be deducted from the course cost.

Course Director
The course has been led the past 8 years by Nigel Sampson. Nigel is certified in Classical Pilates, Gyrotonics, Kundalini Yoga, Certified by the American College of Sports Medicine, American Council of Exercise, National Academy of Sports Medicine, Certificate in Personal training UC Irvine. Nigel has been teaching exercise for over 20 years and is skilled in creating expert Classical Pilates Instructors.
